RINKADIA

How RINKADIA works

On RINKADIA, players, coaches and agencies create a profile, and both identity and career are verified before it goes live. Clubs search by role, level and availability, and contact the person directly or through the agent who represents them. A name appears only when a club opens a profile, and the person decides whether to answer.

Who is it for

RINKADIA is for clubs, players, coaches, agencies and agents. Players are professionals. Coaches can be from junior level up. Women’s hockey has its own section.

Clubs use RINKADIA to find and contact players and coaches, directly or through their agents. They search with filters for the role and the level they need. They can save profiles to a watchlist, including people who are selective or unavailable right now. The free version has a limited watchlist. Club Pro removes the limit and sends a notification whenever someone on it changes their status.

For players, RINKADIA is a place to be seen beyond their own network. They create their own profile and fill it in themselves. They choose their status from available, selective or unavailable, and can hide from their current club or any other.

Coaches use RINKADIA the same way as players. That includes head coaches, assistant coaches, goalie coaches, skills coaches, video coaches and strength and conditioning coaches. They fill in their profile, choose their status, and can be found by clubs that might never have come across them otherwise. They can also hide from their current club or any other.

For agents, RINKADIA is a tool that fits how they already work. The agency creates a profile and its agents are linked to it. An agent invites the players they represent, and the two are linked once the player accepts. From there the agent sets the status and handles the contact requests. Clubs can also search for agencies by country.

Getting verified

Every player and coach goes through two checks. First, an outside provider checks their identity against an official document. The second is done by hand, with a member of the RINKADIA team reviewing their career history personally.

The profile stays pending until both checks are done. If something doesn’t match, it won’t go live.

Every club is verified as a company before it can open a profile or send a conversation request. While the check is in progress, clubs can search and save profiles to their watchlist.

Agencies are checked similarly as a company, and the agent as a real person, before they can represent anybody.

What a club sees before it opens a profile

Search results are anonymous player or coach cards, where the club sees the level and career level, the experience, the region, an age range, nationality and spoken languages, as well as a short note that the person has written of themselves. Enough to decide whether somebody is worth a conversation.

A club can’t see the name or the contact details yet.

When a club opens the profile, the name and picture appears along with more of what the person has filled in. Club Pro shows more again, including social media links. Contact details are not shared until a conversation request has been accepted.

What happens when a club gets in touch

A club sends a conversation request. If the player or coach has no agent, it goes straight to them, and they see which club sent it and what they wrote. If the person has an agent, it goes to the agent, who handles the request from there. The player or coach is told that a club has been in touch, but not which one, until the agent accepts.

When a request is accepted, the conversation opens on the platform and contact details are shared at the same time.

If you say no

Nothing happens. The club is not told why, and nothing is recorded against the player or coach. The profile stays exactly as it was, and they can hide from that club if they would rather not hear from them again.

Statuses and hiding

Players and coaches choose from three statuses. Available means they are looking and want to be seen. Selective means they are not looking but are open to the right offer. Unavailable means they are not open to anything right now; they still come up in searches, but no conversation request can be sent.

Every player and coach can hide from their current club, or any other they choose. If they work with an agent, the agent handles hiding for them.
